Vietnam sees February inflation up 3.98%, retail sales up 8.5% on Tet season
Vietnam's consumer price index (CPI), an indicator of inflation, increased 3.98% year-on-year in February, while retail and services revenues rose 8.5%, the General Statistics Office (GSO) reported.

The number of foreigners visiting Vietnam in the first five months of the year reached 4.6 million, rising 12.6 times year-on-year but only equivalent to 63% of the same period in pre-pandemic 2019.

Newly established businesses hit record high post pandemic
A total 15,001 new businesses were registered in Vietnam in April, up nearly 700 from March and surpassing the record monthly high of 14,866 a year ago, according to the General Statistics Office.
