19 SOEs see H1 state budget contribution up 8%

Nineteen state-owned enterprises under the Commission for the Management of State Capital at Enterprises (CMSC) paid about VND31.9 trillion (over $1.36 billion) to the state budget in this year’s first half, up 8% year-on-year.

The contribution by the 19 state-run groups and corporations equals as much as 82% of the whole year target, according to data released at a conference held in Hanoi by the commission to review H1 performance and deploy H2 tasks.

In the first six months, the 19 bodies earned a total revenue of more than VND543.4 trillion (around $23.2 billion), equal to 58% of the year target and up 28% year-on-year.

The total consolidated pre-tax profit of 17, excluding State Capital Investment Corp (SCIC) and Vietnam Expressway Corp (VEC), was estimated at VND53,274 billion ($2.27 billion), equal to 91% of the year target and up 39% over last year’s H1.

The 19 SOEs include SCIC, VEC, Vietnam Electricity, Vietnam Airlines, Airports Corporation of Vietnam, Vietnam Railways Corp, Vietnam National Coffee Corp, Petrovietnam, Vietnam National Shipping Lines, Chemical Industry Group, Vinafood 1, Vinafood 2, Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Industries Group (TKV), Petrolimex, among others.

Petrovietnam, TKV, and Petrolimex are among those with budget contributions higher than the same period last year.
