Under chairman Le Trung Chinh's decision, in the high-tech industry, the list included three wholly foreign-invested projects in aviation and space technology, robot design and manufacturing technology, and chips and biosensor production.

All three projects will be located in Hoa Vang district’s Danang Hi-Tech Park, with completed technological infrastructure.

Danang Information Technology Park is seeking investments for three projects. The first, a data center and office complex, will span a total area of 8.7 hectares. The wholly foreign-backed project will feature four office buildings, a 26-story data center, and an exhibition area.

A 58-hectare specialized ICT project, the second, aims to build a research and development (R&D) complex with two to six stories, researching hardware, software, digital content, and IT service products. This project will also be wholly foreign-owned.

The third is a 12-hectare R&D area, including a training center and an innovation and startup lab room. The wholly foreign-invested project will have a scale of six to 10 stories.

There are nine projects in transport, infrastructure and logistics. Danang is seeking investment for two starting berths of the Lien Chieu district’s Lien Chieu Port in the period of 2022-2025.

The planned area, including sea surface, is 45 hectares. The port, with a berth length of 750 meters, will handle 100,000-ton vessels and container ships with a loading capacity of 6,000-8,000 TEUs (twenty-foot equivalent units).

The city is also calling for investment in the 35-hectare Lien Chieu port logistics center, aiming to form a regional, grade 1 seaport logistics hub.

Danang is one of the five centrally-managed cities in Vietnam and serves as a gateway to the central region. Since early 2022, the coastal city has attracted 10 projects in high-tech, information technology, and industrial parks.
