Binh Dinh province okays three new projects worth $87 mln

Binh Dinh authorities have approved in principle three projects to develop a Takao brick and tile plant, a wood pellet plant, and a mineral processing plant.

The VND1.92 trillion ($81.82 million) Takao brick and tile plant, invested by Takao Binh Dinh JSC, covers 31.5 hectares in Go Cay Industrial Cluster in Tay Son district.

The plant produces granite, bricks for garden decoration, and glazed ceramic tiles with an annual capacity of 21.2 million square meters.

The project is scheduled to get off the ground in January 2024 and enter operation in December 2026.

Eurasian Bioenergy Joint Stock Company will be the investor of the wood pellet production plant covering 1.9 hectares in Dai Thanh Industrial Cluster in Phu My district.

The project, with a total investment of VND63 billion ($2.68 million), is set to enter operation in the fourth quarter of 2024 with a capacity of 57,600 tons of wood pellets a year.

As the investor of the East Minerals mineral processing plant, East Minerals Binh Dinh Limited Company plans to invest VND50 billion ($2.13 million) in the project, located on an area of over 0.98 hectares in Binh Duong Industrial Cluster in Phu My district.

Work on the project is scheduled to begin in the third quarter of 2024. The plant will produce superfine zircon with an annual capacity of 25,000 tons.  

Binh Dinh province People’s Committee stated that after 12 months, the in-principle approval for these project will be scrapped if investors do not implement the project or show they are not capable of implementing them in line with the schedule registered with authorities without justified reasons.
