Chinese suspect arrested in Vietnam

Zhang Guo Zhong, 50, wanted by Chinese police for gangster activities and murder, was arrested Friday while hiding in Binh Duong province, southern Vietnam.

Zhang Guo Zhong, 50, wanted by Chinese police for gangster activities and murder, was arrested Friday while hiding in Binh Duong province, southern Vietnam.

Binh Duong police coordinated with Quang Ninh police in northern Vietnam to carry out the arrest in An Phu ward, Thuan An town.

Zhang Guo Zhong stands accused as the mastermind of a murderous gang, and is wanted by China's Fuzhou city police.

Binh Duong police also arrested Pan Jianlei, 38, also subject to a Chinese arrest warrant for intentionally causing injuries.

Officers said that after committing crimes in China, the two had fled to many provinces, including Binh Duong. Both suspects will be transferred to China.
