Citi Vietnam executive elected AmCham HCMC chair for 2024

Ramachandran A.S. (RamC), Citi's country officer for Vietnam, has been elected chairman of the American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) Ho Chi Minh City for 2024.

Ramachandran A.S. (RamC), Citi's country officer for Vietnam, has been elected chairman of the American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) Ho Chi Minh City for 2024.

Ramachandran A.S. is on the board of governors at both the Hanoi and HCMC chapters of AmCham Vietnam.

Previously, he held global and regional roles in Citi’s banking, capital markets & advisory business, based in London. He has 29 years of corporate banking experience with Citi across multiple functions, AmCham Vietnam said in a Thursday release.

Through his extensive travel to 37 countries across Asia, Europe, Africa and Latin America, Ramachandran A.S. has insights on industry trends, market dynamics and international best practices. His unique experience with the largest multinational companies across the world enables him to advocate policies, frameworks and regulations that foster healthy, sustainable growth.

The HCMC chapter of AmCham Vietnam also elected other key positions. Winnie Wong, country manager in Vietnam, Cambodia & Laos, Asia Pacific, Mastercard, was elected as vice chair.

Another vice chair is Michael Nguyen, member of the Global Advisory Board for Fulbright University Vietnam, country committee chairman for the U.S.- ASEAN Business Council (USABC), and country director of Boeing Vietnam.

Ace Wilson, CFO of Intel Products Vietnam, was elected as treasurer, while Leonardo Garcia, general manager of Coca-Cola Vietnam and Cambodia, was elected as secretary.
