The affected vehicles, produced between January 9, 2021 and July 9, 2021, may have inadequate front windshield adhesion to the vehicle body structure, according to the carmaker’s recall notice.

In some cases, this can adversely affect airbags’ effectiveness and durability of the vehicle body.

Dealers will remove and reinstall the windshield to correct the problem within three hours for each car, and the fix is free, the notice said.

Ranger is a key Ford Vietnam product and a frequent bestseller in the country.
