Among the premature retirees are Nguyen Phu, 61, director of the Department of Construction; Tran Thanh Ha, 58, former director of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment; Nguyen Van Van, 58, former deputy director of the Department of Health.

Meanwhile, Le Ngoc Tuong, 44, former director of the Department of External Affairs, was immediately dismissed.

Previously, Van and Tuong were removed from their positions and became main specialists at these departments.

At its 33rd working session on November 14-16, 2023, the Party Central Committee’s Inspection Commission decided to expel Tuong and Van from the Communist Party. Meanwhile, Phu and Ha were given warnings.

The commission concluded that these individuals violated the party's regulations and the state’s laws in preventing and fighting the Covid-19 and receiving citizens to the country for epidemic prevention and control; land management and use for a number of investment projects and implementation of projects/bidding packages by the Hanoi-based Advanced International JSC (AIC).
