Until 2025, the province targets to establish three or four night-time recreational complexes and at least one iconic product with local features, provide employment for 5-7% of the local workforce, and increase total retail and tourism revenues by 9-10% yearly.

The night economy is targeted to attract at least 700,000 visitors with a total revenue of VND300 billion ($12.64 million) in 2025.

Until 2030, Hau Giang aims to build six or seven night-time recreational complexes and at least two iconic products with local features, provide employment for 7% or more of the local workforce, and increase total retail and tourism revenues by 12-13% yearly.

The night economy is targeted to attract at least 1.5 million visitors with a total revenue of VND1,500 billion ($63.22 million) in 2030.

Provincial authorities noted tourism growth would depend on shopping, cuisine, art performances, recreational activities, historic site visits, and bar-club-karaoke services.

Of the investment target, the biggest portions belonged to urban area development of Vi Thanh town with VND6,057 billion ($255.3 million), Nga Bay town with VND1,745 billion ($73.55 million), and Chau Thanh district with VND931 billion ($39.24 million).

Hau Giang, traditionally known as an agricultural production center, is emerging as an investment hub in Mekong Delta, attracting big Vietnamese names like Masan, Vingroup, Minh Phu, and Tan Hiep Phat.

The province will soon welcome three expressways, namely Can Tho-Ca Mau, Chau Doc-Can Tho-Soc Trang, and Ha Tien-Rach Gia-Bac Lieu. A maritime route connecting Hau Giang and Tran De ports will also facilitate transfer of goods from local industrial parks and urban areas.

In the first two months of this year, Hau Giang province's sector of accommodation, food & beverage, and tourism reaped a revenue of VND1,218 billion ($51.34 million), up 9.95% year-on-year.
