Hilton set to launch Waldorf Astoria Hanoi hotel in 2025

Hilton’s luxury hotel brand Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts announced its Vietnam entry on Tuesday with the signing of Waldorf Astoria Hanoi, scheduled to open in 2025.

Hilton’s luxury hotel brand Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts announced its Vietnam entry on Tuesday with the signing of Waldorf Astoria Hanoi, scheduled to open in 2025.

The upcoming Waldorf Astoria Hanoi is a conversion of the current Hilton Hanoi Opera and will feature fully reimagined accommodations across each of its 187 rooms and suites after extensive renovations are complete.

The downtown hotel, owned by Vietnamese conglomerate BRG Group and managed by Hilton, continues the brand’s entry into the world’s most sought-after destinations like Sydney, Tokyo, Jakarta, and Kuala Lumpur, Waldorf Astoria said.

BRG Group chairwoman Nguyen Thi Nga said: “Through our partnership with Hilton, we are confident Waldorf Astoria Hanoi will play a major part in accelerating Vietnam’s image as one of Asia’s most dynamic destinations for luxury travelers.”

Guy Phillips, Hilton senior vice president for development in Asia and Australia, noted, “Situated in the heart of Hanoi next to the iconic Hanoi Opera House, Waldorf Astoria Hanoi will enhance the country’s luxury travel offerings to capture a rapidly growing segment of discerning travelers.”

Waldorf Astoria Hanoi will join Hilton’s pipeline of nine other hotels and resorts that will open in Vietnam in the coming years, the brand added.

The five-star hotel is a short walking distance from the Vietnamese capital’s famous Old Quarter and Sword Lake. It is also within close proximity to major tourist attractions like the National Museum of Vietnamese History, Ba Dinh Square, and Trang Tien Plaza.

Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts currently operates six hotels in China, Thailand, and the Maldives, and plans to more than double its presence in Asia Pacific over the next five years.
