'Investors’ golden heart' golf tournament raises $20,000 for charity

The “Investors’ Golden Heart” golf tournament, organized in Ninh Binh province Saturday by The Investor, has raised VND500 million ($20,000) for charity.

The tournament, held at the Royal Golf Course about 94 kilometers south of Hanoi, attracted about 150 golfers who played for about six hours.

Golfer Nguyen Van Son won the tournament. An award ceremony was organized in the evening to hand out prizes to winners of groups A, B and C as well as lucky draws.

Nguyen Anh Tuan,  Editor-in-chief of The Investor and head of the tournament’s organizing board, said the event will be held annually to raise money for helping the needy and serving as a playground connecting investors and policymakers.

"In the first edition this year, the tournament has been supported by many business groups and individuals. We believe that players will enjoy the event with a win-win spirit as we join hands to combat poverty and leave no one behind,” he said.

This year, carmaker Hyundai TC Motor was a co-organizer and Vingroup the diamond sponsor. Other corporate sponsors of the tournament included: Hoang Huy Financial Services, Deo Ca Group, IFF Holdings, Euro Window JSC, Bao Viet Life Insurance, Vabis Group, Nam Thang Long Urban Development Co., Phuc Khang Co., Geleximco, CityLand, Dat Phuong, Tan Phuoc Yen, An Duong Company, EULand, Claza, Crystal Bay, Sun Group, Vietnam Airlines, Vietnam -  Korea Design Center, New Sun, BRG and Tan Hiep Phat.
