Japanese sanitary ware firm TOTO completes $100 mln faucet factory

TOTO Vietnam, a unit of Japanese sanitary ware firm TOTO, completed the construction of its $100-million faucet factory in the northern province of Vinh Phuc on Monday.

TOTO Vietnam, a unit of Japanese sanitary ware firm TOTO, completed the construction of its $100-million faucet factory in the northern province of Vinh Phuc on Monday.

Per the investment certificate granted in October 2020, the 10-hectare plant in Thang Long Industrial Park can produce 600,000 hoses, valves, and accessories for restrooms and kitchens per year and assemble 1.3 million products annually.

Machinery installation is scheduled to complete in June 2023 so the plant can start manufacturing its first products by September 2023.

The factory will apply Big Data and automation in production management and utilize solar power to reduce carbon emissions, Nguyen Xuan Phuong, head of the Vinh Phuc Industrial Park Management Board, said at the event.

TOTO Vietnam has four other factories in Vietnam. The first and second were opened in Hanoi in 2004 and 2006, while the third and fourth made their debut in the northern province of Hung Yen in 2018 and July 2022.
