Japan's Mikazuki Group to expand investment in Danang

Mikazuki Group, a famous Japanese hospitality brand, on Wednesday announced investment expansion plans in Danang following the debut of its Da Nang Mikazuki luxury resort and spa complex.

Mikazuki Group, a famous Japanese hospitality brand, on Wednesday announced investment expansion plans in Danang following the debut of its Da Nang Mikazuki luxury resort and spa complex.

"We will invest in some new projects like a pedestrian bridge and night street in Lien Chieu district," Yoshimune Odaka, General Director of Mikazuki Group, spoke at the opening ceremony of Mikazuki Hotel, part of the Da Nang Mikazuki luxury resort and spa complex.

The event marked the launching of the entire complex, which covers 13 hectares on Xuan Thieu beach in Lien Chieu district. It includes Hinode Villas, Mikazuki Hotel, Nami Seaside Restaurant, and Water Park 365.

"Mikazuki Group will coordinate with the city to complete procedures and start the new projects in 2023 on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Japan-Vietnam diplomatic ties," he added.

Mikazuki Hotel has 22 stories, including 294 standard rooms and suites, ranging from 70-400 square meters. Visitors can enjoy the Japanese cuisine at  The Blue Restaurant, as well as others at Maimon Sushi, Teppan Restaurant, Sake Bar, and Crescent Bar.

It has a Japanese garden on the fourth floor with a series of cultural symbols like a five-storied pagoda, temple bell, the Nikko Toshogu temple, as well as an onsen-style hot-water infinity swimming pool on the 22nd floor with panoramic views of Danang Bay.

"Mikazuki will make the project a good example of successful Japanese investment in Danang, seeking to bring the city's image to Japan," he added.

Mikazuki Group currently operates four big hospitality properties, golf clubs, and entertainment facilities in Japan.

Da Nang, a top tourist attraction in central Vietnam, is famous for Southeast Asia's most beautilful beaches and close to UNESCO-recognized heritage sites like the ancient town of Hoi An in Quang Nam province and Hue Citadel in Thua Thien-Hue province.
