Petrolimex Gas appoints new chairman

Petrolimex Gas Corporation - JSC, a subsidiary of Vietnam's biggest gasoline retailer Petrolimex, has appointed Nguyen Quang Dinh as chairman for the term 2022-2027.

Petrolimex Gas Corporation - JSC, a subsidiary of Vietnam's biggest gasoline retailer Petrolimex, has appointed Nguyen Quang Dinh as chairman for the term 2022-2027.

Dinh was born in 1974, in Binh Luc district, Ha Nam province. Before serving as chairman of Petrolimex Gas Corporation - JSC (PGC), he held the position of general director and chief accountant at Petrolimex Commercial Joint Stock Bank (PG Bank) from August 2005 to October, 2019, and chairman of the bank in the period of 2019 - May, 2023.

Previously, Nguyen Quang Dung, PGC's chairman, had submitted his resignation as board member for the term 2022-2027 which was approved by the company's 2023 annual general meeting of shareholders.

PGC recorded net revenue of VND4.01 trillion ($170.9 million) and after-tax profit of VND126.6 billion ($5.39 million) in 2022, up 19% and 0.6% year-on-year, respectively.

The company sets a consolidated revenue target of VND4.15 trillion ($176.9 million) for 2023, up 1.6% compared to 2022's actual figure, and consolidated pre-tax profit of VND168 billion ($7.16 million), up 5%. 

It reported net revenue of VND978 billion ($41.65 million) and after-tax profit of VND30.5 billion ($1.3 million) in Q1, down 4% and down 2% year-on-year, respectively.

On the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange, the PGC share price hit VND15,900 ($0.68) per unit at Friday's close.
