Vietnam's central province of Quang Binh is seeking an investor for the VND800 billion ($32.3 million) Quan Hau luxury urban area in Quang Ninh district.

Vietnam's central province of Quang Binh is seeking an investor for the VND800 billion ($32.3 million) Quan Hau luxury urban area in Quang Ninh district.

Potential investors can submit registration documents until 6 p.m. on May 6, 2024, the provincial Department of Planning and Investment announced.

The 18.1-hectare urban area, covering Con Soi island in the middle of Nhat Le river, will feature a 5-storey hotel and service building located at the southern tip of the island, villas, kindergartens, and parking lots.

Once completed, it will be a "modern, high-class" ecological urban area with social and technical infrastructure, meeting current regulations and construction planning standards, the department said.

Quang Binh boasts the world-famous Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park, a series of beaches on the Bao Ninh peninsula, and Son Doong cave.

Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park was inscribed on UNESCO's World Heritage list in 2003. It features great geological diversity and offers spectacular phenomena while harboring a high level of biodiversity and many endemic species.

Son Doong cave, the world's largest natural cave, was ranked fourth out of the world's 10 places still not to be fully explored by Canadian travel site The Travel in early 2023. The cave is home to vatious species of bats and even some tiny fish colonies. These creatures have adapted to the cave's unique environment and can offer scientists invaluable insight into the evolution of species.
