A Russian woman was found dead after falling from Cat Ba Dream hotel in Cat Ba town, Hai Phong city at around 6 p.m on Thursday.
Local police and other relevant officials arrived at the scene by 9 p.m for investigation.
The tourist is more than 20 years old and has Russian nationality. Her hotel room were left untouched and had no sign of a homicide. There was alcohol in the room, with the window facing Nui Ngoc Street completely open, police said
Le Khac Nam, Vice Chairman of Hai Phong, told local press that the city has informed the Russian Embassy in Hanoi about the incident. Her body is being kept at the Cat Hai district’s medical center.
