Shinhan Bank Vietnam has worked with the General Department of Taxation to launch a personal electronic tax and fee payment service via the eTax Mobile app that can work on both IOS and Android operating systems.

The service will help individual customers with tax numbers to conveniently pay personal income tax, car and motorbike registration fees, etc. via the eTax Mobile application.

Shinhan Bank says it is the first foreign bank in Vietnam to officially accomplish the integration of personal electronic tax and fee payment feature on the eTax Mobile application.

Kang GewWon, chief executive officer of Shinhan Bank Vietnam, said that “by accomplishing the integration of personal electronic tax and fee payment features on eTax Mobile application,” the bank was moving towards meeting its target of assisting customers to save costs, time and effort through convenient, simple and fast transactions.

He said customers can have “flexible time” for tax payment tax and that this initiative would contribute to the success of the digital transformation plan until 2025 with orientation to 2030 approved by the Prime Minister.

To experience the tax and fee payment feature provided by Shinhan Bank, taxpayers can download and install the eTax Mobile app on their smartphones or tablets and follow instructions.

After downloading, they would declare and verify user information, connect with their account in Shinhan Bank Viet Nam, lookup and select payable taxes/fees.

On the “Payment” screen, customers should select Shinhan Bank Vietnam and complete the next steps, which are similar to a normal personal financial transaction. After completing the transaction, eTax Mobile will return the transaction result to the customer.

If transaction is successful, customers can download tax/fee documents electronically via personal email or visit directly the nearest branch/transaction office to get help, if needed, with printing the documents.
