Hai Duong province's Police have detained six more people for violations in bidding regulations, causing serious consequences that occurred at Vicem Hoang Thach Cement Company.

Hai Duong Police on Friday said that expanding their investigation, its investigative agency had arrested six more people for violating regulations on bidding, causing serious consequences per the Penal Code.

Vicem Hoang Thach Cement Company, located in Hai Duong province, northern Vietnam, is a subsidiary of the state-run Vietnam National Cement Corporation (Vicem).

Among the detained, five are staff members or former staff members of Vicem Hoang Thach Cement Company, and one is an employee of AMIC Technology and Trading Consulting Joint Stock Company. 

Prior to that, in November 2022, the provincial police arrested Le Thanh Long, the firm's board chairman. At the time of his arrest, Long was also a board member of Hoang Thach Packaging Joint Stock Company.
