Telecom giant Viettel receives two more US exclusive protection patents

The first patent is a curved mirror optical system for medium wave thermal imaging devices created in 2017, which addresses the issue of designing and generating camera cores while reducing imports.

The remaining patent covers a method for producing composite materials that can endure high temperatures and survive the harsh conditions of the military field.

The number of Viettel's inventions has increased in recent years, spanning both military and civic domains, confirming the group's status as a technical pioneer.

Patents exclusively protected in the U. S. have proved Viettel's independence in the research and development of fundamental technologies in high-tech production and manufacturing.

In terms of technology, the U.S. is a world leader. The U.S.-issued patents are considered a valuable reference base in the event that a patent to be registered in another nation.

Viettel is the technological firm with the largest number of patent applications and patents granted annually in Vietnam, according to the National Office of Intellectual Property in 2021. The group has received 56 patents in Vietnam and 11 in the U.S. by USPTO so far.

Recently, two projects in the military and defense fields of Viettel were awarded the Ho Chi Minh Prize by the State Council - the highest state award in science and technology.

Viettel is the largest telecommunications group in Vietnam with 76 million customers. It consists of more than 20 subsidiaries involving telecom, investment, real estate, foreign trade and technical services.
