Around 50 businesses from 30 plus provinces and cities are offering almost 1,000 products at the ‘Green Lunar New Year – Vietnamese gifts market” held Feb 3-6 in Ho Chi Minh City.
The 10th edition of the event, hosted by the High Quality Vietnamese Goods Business Association and the Center for Business Research and Business Support, is being held at 135A Pasteur street in District 3.
Among the products on offer are tea, coffee, honey, spices, vegetables, tubers, berries and other fruits.
The Tet tray includes flower rolls and pate from Nam Thuy, sausages from Hanoi's Uoc Le craft village, and banh chung, a traditional rice cake for Tet, from the ancestral town of Phu Tho.
Clean and green products from young startups from different localities across the country include honey, Bodhi hair shampoo and Ca Mau dried shrimp.
At the market’s "Kitchen corner for Tet," super chefs Do Quang Long, Tran Cuong Thinh, and Tran Ngoc Nghia prepare delectable dishes from the northern, central and southern regions of the country.
In another area, artisans guide guests in making craft products with loofah and/or reed.
Vu Kim Anh, deputy director of the Center for Business Research and Business Support, said that in addition to the Tet market in HCMC, organizers have collaborated with the Vietnam One Stop program in Phu Quoc Island to present unique products from many Vietnamese craft villages.
