Thailand’s Super Energy sees 2023 Vietnam revenue flat at $102 mln

Thailand’s Super Energy Corporation recorded 2023 revenues of THB3,655.6 million ($102.1 million) in Vietnam, down 0.07% year-on-year, according to the firm’s financial statement.

Nine solar power projects with a combined output of 836.72 MW earned revenues of THB3,200.8 million ($89.4 million), down 1.41% year-on-year. Super Energy attributed this to a slight reduction in light intensity.

Its 50MW wind power project recorded revenues of THB454.8 million ($13.5 million), up 10.5%, thanks to higher average wind speed.

Super Energy has four upcoming projects totaling 421 MW.

Gross profit from its Vietnam solar power projects reached THB1,544.3 million ($43.1 million), while the wind power project earned THB274 million ($7.7 million).

Super Energy said it had suffered a foreign exchange loss of THB881 million ($24.6 million) in 2023 because of unfavorable dong rates against the greenback.

Globally, Super Energy recorded revenues of THB9,361.1 million ($209.5 million) in 2023, up 4.85% year-on-year. Its Vietnam operations accounted for 37.2% of the total.
