The government is set to forward amendment proposals made by the Ministry of Finance to the National Assembly Standing Committee before the relevant bill is placed on the parliament’s agenda for its October session.

After getting the NA’s feedback and making further changes, it is expected that the government will submit the bill for approval to the NA working session in May 2024.

The drafted amendments to the law have attracted a lot of attention from domestic and foreign enterprises.

Several domestic experts have advised that due care must be taken because of the major contexts in which the amendments are being considered. They have pointed out that the Vietnamese economy and businesses have just undergone a debilitating Covid-19 epidemic and economic headwinds have persisted, dragging the world economy into recession.
