The editorial board of the Nha dau tu magazine/Nhadautu.vn/Theinvestor.vn publications has appointed Nguyen Thai Son as the head of its southern representative office.
Son replaces Dao Van Huy starting March 1. He is currently general managing editor of www.nhadautu.vn, a Vietnamese-language online publication, and will continue to hold this position.
At an official ceremony held to mark the appointment Friday, Dr. Nguyen Anh Tuan, the magazines’ editor-in-chief, stressed the importance of the rep office, saying the south was Vietnam’s critical economic region.
He expressed the hope that Son will use his experience and expertise to lead the office successfully and fulfil tasks assigned by the editorial board.
Son thanked the leaders of the Vietnam’s Association of Foreign Invested Enterprise (VAFIE) and The Investor magazines for placing their trust in him; and his colleagues for their collaboration.
Son, 45, holds a bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities under the National University-Hanoi and a bachelor's degree in law from Hanoi Law University.
Before working for www.nhadautu.vn, he had garnered more than 20 years of experience with various media outlets including the Dai bieu Nhan dan (the People's Delegates), Dan Tri (People’s Intellect) and Thanh Nien (Young People).
The magazines' editorial board also used the occasion to recognize and thank Dao Van Huy, former head of the rep office, for his contributions. The board wished Huy success in his future endeavors.
