Toyota Vios, a five-seater sedan, topped the list with 23,529 sold units last year, including 2,764 in December, according to a report by Vietnam Automobile Manufacturers’ Association (VAMA), which does not include VinFast and Hyundai.

With 22,645 units, Hyundai Accent, another five-seater sedan, came in second place.

VAMA recorded sales of Mitsubishi Xpander, a seven-seater multi-purpose vehicle (MPV), at 21,983, including 21,238 completely built-up (CBU) and 745 completely knocked-down (CKD) units.
