Travel app Klook signs deals with Sun World, VinWonder to promote Vietnam tourism

Klook, a leading travel and leisure app in Asia-Pacific, has partnered with Sun World and VinWonders, two major tourism businesses in Vietnam, to promote the Southeast Asian nation to foreigners.

The cooperation is expected to help the two Vietnamese firms capitalize on the rising inbound tourism in Vietnam.

Sun World is an entertainment brand under major property developer Sun Group, well-known for its Sun World Ba Na Hills, Sun World Fansipan Legend, among others.

VinWonders is the recreational arm of private conglomerate Vingroup with top prestigious projects like Vinpeark Safari Phu Quoc and VinWonders Phu Quoc Theme Park on Phu Quoc island in Kien Giang province.

The partnership between Klook and Sun World for 2023 aims to encourage free independent travelers (FIT) from key markets, including South Korea, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Taiwan, and India.

The Klook-VinWonders collaboration from March to May this year eyes to attract more FIT from South Korea and India.

Klook is the first online trade agency to cooperate with Sun World and VinWonders in marketing campaigns for inbound tourism. The app will push inspiring content about Vietnam and the two Vietnamese businesses via their channels to approach more Klook users.

About 81% of people in Asia are eager to travel abroad in 2023, according to a survey by Klook in November 2022 for nine markets.

Vietnam hosted 3.66 million foreign visitors in 2022, up 23.3 times year-on-year, amid post-pandemic reopening, according to the General Statistics Office.

This year, the country eyes to welcome 110 million travelers, including eight million international ones, gaining a total revenue of VND650 trillion ($27.52 billion), said the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism.
