Regarding infrastructure, Siemens strives to become a global partner of FPT in projects of smart buildings and data centers, giving the Vietnamese access to Siemens’s solutions to serve global customers.

For digitalization, the two will provide services and products for each other and for customers of each side. Siemens also wants FPT to join its Xcelerator ecosystem to speed up digitalization.

About automobile software, FPT eyes to become a service provider for the German giant’s software subsidiary Siemens EDA, towards innovations in the sector.

Besides, FPT targets to supply semiconductor chips to Siemens. In particular, Siemens will help FPT with training courses, experiences, and knowledge to help FPT develop this industry.

FPT, currently with over 70,000 staffers in over 30 nations, recorded a pre-tax profit of VND9,230 billion ($374.7 million) on revenue of VND52,618 billion ($2.14 billion) in 2023, up 20.1% and 19.6% year-on-year, respectively. The achievement included over $1 billion from information-technology (IT) services in foreign markets, according to FPT.

On the same day, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh asked Siemens to research and participate in bidding for urban railway line projects in Vietnam and transfer technology to the country in this area.

Chinh added that he highly appreciated Siemens's business results in the world and in Vietnam, especially projects in the fields of electricity-gas, mechanical engineering, energy infrastructure, industrial automation and railway development.
