Viettel High Tech to export IP routers, pilot 5G tech in India

The Vietnamese business signed the deal with India’s United Telecoms Limited Group (UTL Group) on the sidelines of the Vietnam International Defense Expo 2022 in Hanoi. This marked the firm’s first export deal of high-tech equipment and its capabilities in 5G technology.

The IP routers, completely developed and manufactured by Viettel, have a speed of 100 Gbps and will be deployed by the Gwave network provider, under UTL Group.

Viettel was the first in Vietnam to research and develop IP routers that meet European Conformity (EC) standard of the EU and the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) standard of the U.S.

UTL is a top solution and telecommunication provider in India and also a global partner of the United Nations delivering telecommunications solutions in 24 nations and territories.

Viettel High Technology offers both civil and military solutions. Notable military products include command and control automation systems, unmanned aircraft, electronic warfare systems, and communications equipment. Civilian products feature the Internet of Things (IoT) platform, artificial intelligence cameras, terminal device layers, and access and transmission layer, among others.
