Vietnam aims to nearly double size of securities market in 2025
The Vietnamese government has set a target of raising its securities market capitalization to 100% of gross domestic product (GDP) in 2025, nearly doubling its size as of end-2023.

Vietnam firm Son La Sugar reaches $88 mln in market capitalization
Shares in Son La Sugar JSC (SLS) finished at VND212,100 ($8.8) per unit on Monday, up 73% compared to the beginning of the year and bringing its market capitalization to VND2.12 trillion ($88 million).

The Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange (HoSE) currently has only 34 companies with a market capitalization of more than $1 billion, lower than 39 companies in September and 46 companies at the beginning of the year.
