Accton announced on March 31 the opening of its new facility in Vietnam, saying the plant is part of the company’s global market presence and provides improved products and services to customers in Asia.

The new facility is located on 11,340 square meters of land in Thang Long III Industrial Park in Vinh Phuc province bordering Hanoi.

“This is the most important industrial area in northern Vietnam,” the electronics maker said while not disclosing its investment capital for the project.

Jackal Lee, senior vice president of product supply & demand at Accton Technology, and board director of Vietnam Accton, said, “Accton Group has achieved a significant milestone by establishing its Vietnam factory, which marks the beginning of a new cross-regional presence strategy. The company’s future focus will be on agility, connectivity, and diversity.”

The Vietnam factory marks the starting point of Accton’s new cross-regional presence strategy, representing a pivotal step in the company’s efforts to strengthen its transnational operations.

Accton has manufacturing plants in mainland China's Shenzhen and Hsinchu on the island of Taiwan, where it is headquartered. It has 35 years of production experience.

Vietnam has been cementing its status as a new global manufacturing hub to meet multinational companies' supply chain diversification needs.
