National Banknote Printing Factory has new chairman

Nguyen Duc Cuong, deputy director of the State Bank of Vietnam's (SBV) department of issuance and treasury, has been appointed chairman of the board of members at the National Banknote Printing Factory.

Nguyen Duc Cuong, deputy director of the State Bank of Vietnam's (SBV) department of issuance and treasury, has been appointed chairman of the board of members at the National Banknote Printing Factory.

Per an SBV Governor decision, Cuong will hold the position for five years. starting from Thursday.

Cuong had served as head of the debt settlement division under the SBV’s department of credit for economic sectors before being appointed deputy director of the department of issuance and treasury in late 2017.

SBV Governor Nguyen Thi Hong also appointed Le Thai Nam, board chairman of the National Banknote Printing Factory, as full-time member of the Credit Information Center’s (CIC) management council from Thursday. Nam held the position of the factory’s chairman from September 2019.

The National Banknote Printing Factory is a one-member limited liability company with 100% charter capital held by the state. It is responsible for printing banknotes and producing gold bullion bars, gold items and souvenirs, and valuable papers under plans assigned by the SBV Governor.
