South Korea's STS Development JSC is seeking to build a golf course, high-end villa and resort complex in Long An province, which neighbors Ho Chi Minh City.
Chairman Kim Hyun-seok expressed the company's wish at a recent meeting with the Mekong Delta province's Chairman Nguyen Van Ut.
Accordingly, the complex will cover 150-200 hectares, including a golf course, high-end villas and a resort featuring ecological farmstay areas, recreational centers for people of all ages, and supermarkets.
Ut said that in its development orientation, Long An sets itself as a satellite area of HCMC, the largest city in Vietnam. He pledged to create the best conditions for STS Development to explore investment opportunities in the province.
The fact-finding trip by the STS Development delegation was the initial result of Ut’s investment promotion visit to South Korea earlier this month.
Established in 2004, STS Development JSC is one of the leading real estate service developers in South Korea, offering all solutions from project development to project planning, construction and operation.
It specializes in developing urban areas and housing, systems of trade and service centers, industrial zones and logistics centers, as well as multi-functional projects. After nearly two decades of development, the company has built a network of over 60 supermarkets, shopping malls and sports centers at home and abroad.
In early 2019, a delegation from STS Development visited the northern province of Bac Giang to survey a 400-hectare area to implement an industrial zone, urban, service infrastructure project.
The Korean firm also plans to join hands with Saigontel to develop a chain of logistics service centers in the Vietnamese firm’s industrial zones.
Saigontel, a telecom technology company, is a member of Saigon Investment Group (SGI) - Vietnam's leading investment group in industry, urban and service complex development.
HCMC, Binh Duong, Dong Nai and Long An are manufacturing centers in southern Vietnam.
