Tax chief appointed deputy finance minister

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has appointed Cao Anh Tuan, head of the General Department of Taxation, as Deputy Minister of Finance.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has appointed Cao Anh Tuan, head of the General Department of Taxation, as Deputy Minister of Finance.

Tuan, 52, holds a Ph.D. in economics, with nearly 30 years of experience in the financial industry.

He has worked at the General Department of Taxation for 19 years, eight years as deputy director general and more than three as director general.

Given the appointment decision signed Wednesday, the Ministry of Finance now has four deputy ministers, namely Ta Anh Tuan, Nguyen Duc Chi, Vo Thanh Hung, and Cao Anh Tuan.
