Tech giants showcase advances at Vietnam’s biggest-ever innovation expo

The ongoing Vietnam International Innovation Expo (VIIE) 2023, the biggest-ever event of its kind in the country, is drawing the participation of multiple domestic and international technology companies.

Foreign tech giants such as SK, Samsung, Google, Meta, Signify, Intel, VISA, SpaceX, Signify and Vietnamese firms including Viettel, FPT, Thaco, VNPT, Sovico, VNG, Masan, Becamex, VinFast, CT Group, MobiFone and MoMo are showcasing their signature advances and innovative solutions at around 200 booths at the five-day expo.

The expo features eight categories namely smart manufacturing, smart city, digital media, environmental technology, semiconductor, hydrogen, health, and cybersecurity.

It offers a venue for academia, corporates, and investment funds to explore opportunities to cooperate in the innovation field.

The expo also offers virtual spaces, provides innovative technology knowledge, and gives updates on the current status and trends of domestic and international technology development through symposiums.

A host of events will take place at the expo, including workshops on hydrogen, health technologies, Vietnam Venture Summit, STEAM fair, and so on.

“This is the most significant innovation event of this year that offers many opportunities and values for participants, contributing to foster the rapid and sustainable growth of Vietnam’s innovation ecosystem,” Minister of Planning and Investment said at the Saturday opening of the expo.

The event is running through November 1 at the National Innovation Center (NIC), which was inaugurated on Saturday at the Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park on the outskirts of Hanoi.
