Thaiholdings welcomes new general director

Phan Manh Hung, deputy general director and chief accountant of Thaiholdings has been appointed general director of the Hanoi-headquartered, multi-sector investment company, starting from January 1, 2023.

Phan Manh Hung, deputy general director and chief accountant of Thaiholdings has been appointed general director of the Hanoi-headquartered, multi-sector investment company, starting from January 1, 2023.

Hung, 45, has more than 20 years of experience in finance and accounting and had continuously held leadership positions in large enterprises like: general director of VFAM Vietnam Consulting Co., Ltd; chairman and general director of Vietnam Accounting and Tax Consulting Advisory Services Co., Ltd; board member and deputy general director of Kim Lien Tourism JSC; chairman of Ton Dan JSC; and most recently deputy general director of Thaiholdings.

At the end of 2022, Thaiholdings announced the decision to dismiss Nguyen Van Dung as general director from January 1, 2023 for personal reasons.

Dung was general director of Thaiholdings from July 5, 2021, replacing Vu Ngoc Dinh. He is also a board member of Thaiholdings.

In addition, Thaiholdings also announced the decision to appoint Ngo Quyet Tien as chief accountant and Nguyen Ha Thu as head of the administrative division, effective from January 1, 2023.

In 2022, Thaiholdings' senior personnel constantly fluctuated as the company dismissed and appointed a series of deputy general directors, board members, and members of the supervisory board.

The company recorded a net revenue and after-tax profit of VND3,424 billion ($144.9 million) and VND256 billion ($10.83 million) in the first nine months of the year, down 39% and down 46% year-on-year, respectively.

Thaiholdings is listed on the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange as THD. Its share was priced at VND39,000 ($1.65) at the closing session on December 30, 2022.
