The Finance Ministry will propose amendments to the laws on enterprises and securities as well as related regulations in order to make them more transparent, says Minister Ho Duc Phoc.

The amendments will facilitate socio-economic development, and create more medium and long-term capital sources for the business community, Phoc said Friday at the ongoing National Assembly session in Hanoi.

In January 2022, the legislative body passed amendments to nine laws on: Public Investment, Public-Private Partnership, Investment, Residential Housing, Tendering, Electricity, Enterprises, Special Consumption Tax and Civil Judgment Enforcement.

On September 16, the government issued Decree 65 amending and supplementing Decree 153 on private placement of corporate bonds. The decree is expected to address difficulties faced by issuers and open up capital flows from this channel for socio-economic activities.

The new regulations require greater transparency in bond issuance. Enterprises have to specifically state their bond issuance purpose and make public the information for investors who register to buy bonds.
