The Lam Dong Department of Planning and Investment has sent a document to the province’s Construction, Natural Resources and Environment, Agriculture and Rural Development departments as well as the Da Teh district People's Committee asking for feedback on the investment proposals.

Under Minh Nhut Da Teh Corp's proposal, 307.5 hectares of the 534.19 hectares will comprise water surface area. The project duration will be 50 years from the date of issuance of the investment certificate. No investment estimate for the project was available at the time of going to print.

The project aims to manage, protect and embellish the Da Teh lake area's landscape while building an eco-tourism and resort area.

The project is expected to take five years (2023-2027) to complete, with the first two years being devoted to completing investment procedures, site clearance, conversion of land use purpose and obtaining construction permits.

Under Vinacacao's proposal, the project’s name will be changed to "High-quality resort tourism complex following the Swiss agricultural model."

Apart from construction, the project will offer resort facilities under the forest canopy and also engage in cocoa cultivation.

In 2018, the license for the Da Teh lake eco-tourism area project with Minh Nhut Da Teh Corp as the investor was withdrawn by Lam Dong province over the delay in progress in line with the 2014 Investment Law and 2013 the Land Law.
