The partnership is expected to speed up research and application of AI in computer vision, natural language processing, digital twin, robotics, and other areas.

Viettel will participate in Nvidia’s network of global partners, marking a milestone in implementing the national AI strategy and setting the stage for bringing Viettel’s AI solutions to the international market.

Viettel deputy general director Nguyen Dinh Chien said the group was determined to cooperate with global technological giants to push AI research and application in Vietnam.

Currently, Viettel’s AI products include an AI platform, virtual assistant platform, cyberspace information monitoring system, smart robot platform, data analysis and summary platform, and digital twin platform.

Keith Strier, Nvidia VP, Worldwide AI Initiatives, said Viettel was developing human resources and computer infrastructure to make Vietnam an AI nation. Strier said he hoped other nations in the region would strive to emulate Vietnam.
