Inward remittances to HCMC up 43% to $9.5 bln, Asia dominates
Inward remittances to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam’s largest economic hub, rose 43.3% year-on-year to $9.46 billion in 2023, according to the municipal branch of the State Bank of Vietnam.

Jan-Sep inbound remittances to HCMC hit $6.7 bln, beating 2022
Inbound remittances to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam’s largest economic engine, totaled $6.69 billion in the nine months through September, already 1.3% higher than the figure recorded in the whole of 2022, according to the central bank.
