At Thailand's Rajamangala Stadium, the Vietnamese players scored a 1-0 lead thanks to striker Tuan Hai, with a beautiful handling of the ball over the head of the Thai goalkeeper in the eighth minute.

The Thai team then rose up. Ben Davis took advantage of the mistake of the Vietnamese defense to shoot a beautiful long-range shot from outside the penalty area to equalize 1-1.

The Vietnamese team's worries became greater when Xuan Son suffered a serious injury and had to leave the field on a stretcher in the 34th minute.

In the next few minutes, Thailand pressed the field and scored a goal to increase the score to 2-1 thanks to Supachok.

But Thailand quickly encountered "a disaster" when Weerathep received a second yellow card in the 75th minute, after two consecutive fouls to prevent the Vietnamese team's attack.

Seven minutes later, from Tuan Hai's shot, Pansa Hemviboon scored a goal to help Vietnam equalize 2-2 against Thailand. Minute 90+1, the Thai player hit the crossbar.

At minute 90+19, from a quick counterattack, Hai Long shot from long range into an empty net to score the goal that sealed a 3-2 victory for Vietnam.
