Central Vietnam province Quang Nam calls for investment in 277 projects
Vietnam’s central province of Quang Nam will prioritize attracting investment to 277 projects this year across various sectors like urban area development, tourism, transportation, and industrial real estate.

Notable among the projects is the Chu Lai Airport expansion and upgrade project. It aims to build a new, synchronized runway on the eastern side measuring 3,048 m x 45 m; parallel and connecting taxiways; an apron offering 32-40 parking positions; a passenger terminal serving up to 10 million passengers per year; and a cargo terminal, according to a freshly released list of projects for investment attraction in 2025.
Another is the project to dredge the Cua Lo channel to accommodate 50,000-ton ships, construct a terminal housing 50,000-ton ships at the Tam Hoa port area, and build infrastructure for the Tam Hoa non-tariff zone.
Quang Nam province is also calling for investment in urban railways connecting its tourism town of Hoi An and Chu Lai Economic Zone with the neighbouring coastal city of Da Nang.
These two urban railway projects aim to comprehensively develop the province's strategic transportation infrastructure system with five modes of transport: road, rail, inland waterway, maritime, and air, in a modern way consistent with national planning orientation.
It will ensure intra-regional and inter-regional connectivity along the coastal economic corridor and the East-West economic corridor, and promote international and national connectivity.
Regarding industrial real estate development, the province is calling for investment in the extended Chu Lai Truong Hai Auto Machinery Industrial Park (115 hectares), the Nam Thang Binh Industrial Park’s subzones I and II (645 ha), and the Tam Anh 3 Industrial Park (250 ha).
In urban development, Quang Nam seeks investments in a 296.28-hectare mixed-use urban area south of Nguyen Tat Thanh axis in Tam Ky town and another north of the axis, with an area of 244.3 hectares.
Other projects include the 195.24-hectare Chu Lai urban area in Tam Hiep commune, Nui Thanh district; a 120-hectare mixed-use urban area along the Dao River in Duy Xuyen district; the Hoa Lang ecological village in Tam Ngoc commune, Tam Ky town; and the Giap Ba riverside residential area in Dien An ward, Dien Ban township.
In the tourism sector, the province is calling for investments in the Vien Son high-end hot spring resort and tourism complex (463 ha); the Loc Yen-Lo Thung ancient village ecotourism area (over 427 ha); the Bang Am ecotourism area (400 ha); and the Go Ry-Go Dinh ecotourism and resort area (over 121 ha).
Quang Nam is also prioritizing investments in a logistics and multimodal transportation center associated with the Quang Nam seaport and the Chu Lai International Airport, as well as a logistics center in the Nam Giang International Border Gate Economic Zone.
According to the provincial People's Committee, in the first three months of 2025, the province licensed 10 new domestic investment projects worth VND623.68 billion ($24.1 million) and four new FDI projects, with total registered capital of $12.34 million.
The province now has 1,177 valid domestic investment projects capitalized at VND230 trillion ($8.89 billion), and 205 valid FDI projects, with total registered capital of more than $6.3 billion, primarily in the manufacturing and processing industry.
