Notable among the projects is the Chu Lai Airport expansion and upgrade project. It aims to build a new, synchronized runway on the eastern side measuring 3,048 m x 45 m; parallel and connecting taxiways; an apron offering 32-40 parking positions; a passenger terminal serving up to 10 million passengers per year; and a cargo terminal, according to a freshly released list of projects for investment attraction in 2025.

These two urban railway projects aim to comprehensively develop the province's strategic transportation infrastructure system with five modes of transport: road, rail, inland waterway, maritime, and air, in a modern way consistent with national planning orientation.
