Right from the beginning of 2025, Agribank launched a substantial preferential credit package worth VND110 trillion ($4.17 billion) to support individual customers.

This move aims to stimulate consumption and promote business production, particularly during the peak shopping period of the Lunar New Year of the Year of the Snake, while contributing to the sustainable development of the economy.

To meet the increasing financial demands, the wholly state-owned lender has allocated a substantial amount of VND30 trillion ($1.14 billion) in the credit package for loans intended to support living expenses.

The program is designed to optimize individual customers' access to capital, catering to a diverse array of borrowing purposes such as personal expenditures, household living costs, business investments, and other financial needs.

To support production and business activities while fostering the consumption of domestic goods, Agribank has allocated VND70 trillion ($2.65 billion) for preferential loans within the credit package aimed at assisting individual customers in overcoming financial challenges.

The credit package is aimed primarily at individual customers and household businesses in need of funds for investment and expansion of their production activities.

The short-term loan program, which has a maximum scale of VND50 trillion ($1.9 billion), is intended to quickly address the working capital requirements of small businesses and people.

Customers can concentrate on increasing production or acquiring essential raw materials thanks to the attractive interest rate of just 4.5% per year, which is applicable for loans with terms ranging from six to 12 months and helps to relieve financial strain on borrowers.

In addition to the short-term loan program, Agribank has set aside VND20 trillion ($758.28 million) for medium- and long-term loans. These loans are intended to help individual clients carry out large investment plans or expand their long-term business operations.

During the early phases of project implementation, this program relieves clients of the burden of interest charges by offering a favorable interest rate that starts at just 6% per year for the first six to 12 months.

As a pioneer in promoting green growth and sustainable development, Agribank has allocated a remarkable VND10 trillion ($379.14 million) to launch the preferential “Green Credit” lending program for individual customers, with an attractive interest rate floor starting from just 3.5% per year.

These credit packages are being implemented in accordance with Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's Directive No. 29/CT-TTG, which aims to help the people and businesses overcome financial difficulties, boost domestic consumption, and promote economic growth.

Agribank's launch of preferential lending packages, which as of the beginning of 2025 had totaled an incredible VND110 trillion ($4.17 billion), demonstrates a strategic move and financial response in accordance with the government's macroeconomic policies. This endeavor demonstrates Agribank's commitment to helping its customers.
