Boeing aids clean water access, sustainable livelihoods projects in Vietnam
Eleven Vietnam projects related to clean water access and sustainable agroforestry livelihoods will receive funding from a Boeing grant this year.
The funding will be part of a $1.25 million charitable grants package to support nonprofit organizations across Southeast Asia.
Boeing said the funding will improve access to clean water, promote sustainable livelihoods in agroforestry, animal and forest conservation; address key health and hygiene initiatives; advance STEM-related programs; and support at-risk communities.

“Boeing is committed to contributing positively to communities in Vietnam,” said Michael Nguyen, country managing director, Boeing Vietnam. “It’s our privilege to partner with these exceptional organizations in Vietnam and provide vital support to vulnerable communities across the country.”
Boeing's $1.25 million grant for 2023-2024 will advance projects in Indonesia, Vietnam, Singapore, the Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand and Cambodia, he said.
The following 11 projects in Vietnam will benefit from the grant.
Giving it Back to Kids: STEM education for students in Quang Nam and Danang, central Vietnam.
Kenan Foundation Asia: Training teachers in STEM to improve learning outcomes in science and math for students in Hanoi and Bac Ninh province.
The Asia Foundation: Strengthening IT skills among disadvantaged youth in Hanoi.
PeaceTrees Vietnam: Demining and explosive ordinance risk education in Quang Trị and Quang Binh, central Vietnam.
Hagar USA: Trafficking prevention and response in Vietnam.
Room to Read: Building literacy skills for students and establishing libraries in primary schools in Vietnam.
Blue Dragon Children’s Foundation: Aid to survivors of human trafficking.
AIP Foundation: Building safe school zones to lower road fatalities.
VinaCapital Foundation: Empowering ethnic minority girls through fostering education and combating social prejudice.
DOVE Fund: Supporting hygiene by building latrines for elementary and secondary schools in Gio Linh district, Quang Tri province.
East Meets West Foundation: Upgrading infrastructure for primary schools in Quang Nam and Hue provinces.
