CTP, a leading industrial real estate developer in the Netherlands, plans to invest about EUR1 billion ($1.16 billion) in Vietnam in the coming years, with the northern province of Hung Yen identified as a key location.

The investment will focus on provinces and cities with potential for industrial and logistics development, CTP’s CEO and founder Remon Vos said at a meeting with the Hung Yen People’s Committee on Tuesday.

Vietnam is a strategic destination for CTP, the executive stressed, regarding Hung Yen as one of the priority destinations for foreign investment thanks to its proximity to Hanoi, convenient access to expressways and ports, and competitive human resource costs.

CTP expressed particular interest in Hung Yen’s plan to develop modern, environmentally friendly industrial parks aimed at attracting high-tech and clean projects.

For his part, Nguyen Le Huy, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, said Hung Yen is positioning itself as a northern industrial and services hub, backed by stable energy supply, improved administrative procedures, and pro-business policies.

Both sides said they hope initial discussions will soon translate into concrete cooperation agreements. Successful investment would not only mark CTP’s entry into Vietnam, its first market outside Europe, but also provide new momentum for industrial, logistics, and green growth in Hung Yen.

The move follows a Dutch business delegation’s July visit to the province, where officials highlighted opportunities in smart agriculture, water management, logistics, and high-tech industry.

Currently, CTP manages more than 11 million square meters of factory and warehouse space in 10 European countries, with its outstanding CTPark model, attracting many global high-tech enterprises.

Hung Yen and the coastal province of Thai Binh were recently merged to form the new Hung Yen.

In May, the Trump Organization and local developer Kinh Bac broke ground on a $1.5 billion golf, eco-tourism, and urban complex in Hung Yen province.

The complex, named Trump International Hung Yen, is the first Trump-branded project in Vietnam. The mega project spans nearly 990.43 hectares across six communes. Construction is scheduled to be completed by Q2/2029.
