Eleven people die as coffee shop in Hanoi burnt
Legal proceedings have been launched against a man in Hanoi who burnt down a coffee shop with gasoline in late evening Wednesday, killing 11 people.

The incident occurred on Pham Van Dong street, Bac Tu Liem district. The suspect, a 51-year-old resident in Dong Anh district, was arrested early Thursday.
According to Hanoi Police, the man, with two previous convictions for robbery and theft, said he went to the coffee shop for a drink and then had a conflict with an employee of the shop.
So he poured gasoline on the first floor - where there were many motorbikes. As the fire flared up, he left the scene immediately.
The fire fighting police received news of the fire at 11:03 p.m. on Wednesday and arrived at the scene 10 minutes later.
At 11:40 p.m., the fire was controlled. Seven people survived, while 11 others died.

The police are clarifying the incident, verifying the identities of the victims, and supporting their families.
