FDI business leader elected to People’s Council in central Vietnam city Danang
An executive from Heineken Vietnam has been elected to the Danang People’s Council for the 2026-2031 term, marking a notable step in the representation of foreign-invested enterprises in the central city’s political landscape.
Nguyen Thanh Phuc (born in 1968), public & government affairs director at Heineken Vietnam and deputy CEO of Heineken Vietnam in Danang, is the only representative from the FDI sector elected to the council in Danang.
People's councils are local state power bodies, representing the will, aspirations, and right to self-governance of the people, and is accountable to the local people and higher-level state agencies.
In 2007, Heineken Vietnam acquired Foster’s Danang Brewery Ltd. Since then, the Danang Brewery has become one of Heineken Vietnam’s member companies. The brewery currently covers 7.7 hectares in Hoa Khanh Industrial Park.

Its business activities include cargo handling services, direct support services for water transport, other transport support services, warehousing and storage, and petroleum trading.
