Le Ngoc Quang appointed Danang city's Party chief
Le Ngoc Quang, a Party Central Committee member and Party chief of Quang Tri province, has been appointed Party chief of Danang for the 2025-2030 term - the highest position in the city, central Vietnam's economic hub.

Danang's Party Committee on Thursday held a ceremony to announce the Politburo’s appointment, with the attendance of Le Minh Hung, a Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, and head of the Party Central Organization Commission.
Quang succeeds Luong Nguyen Minh Triet, who was previously appointed Party chief of Dak Lak province for the 2025-2030 term.
Born in 1974 in Thanh Hoa province, Quang holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism. He used to be deputy head and then head of Vietnam Television's (VTV) news department; deputy general director and later general director of VTV.
In late October 2024, the Politburo appointed him Party chief of Quang Binh province for the 2020-2025 term.
Following the merger of Quang Binh and Quang Tri provinces in July, the Party Central Committee appointed Quang Party chief of the new Quang Tri province.
On October 5, 2025, at the first Congress of the Quang Tri Party Organization, the Politburo reappointed Quang as Party chief of Quang Tri province for the 2025-2030 term, before his subsequent appointment to lead Danang city.
Vietnam is building an international financial center in both Ho Chi Minh City and Danang. Danang, known for Asia's most beautiful beaches, is a tourism and economic hub in central Vietnam.
