Two of the most luxurious hotels in the capital, Lotte Hotel Hanoi and Capella Hanoi, have been listed among the best global hotels for 2022 by TripAdvisor and Travel + Leisure magazine.

Lotte Hotel Hanoi ranked 13th among the Top 25 Hotels according to the world's largest travel platform TripAdvisor, while Capella Hanoi made it to the top 100 best new hotels globally in the List 2022 released by prestige U.S. magazine Travel + Leisure.

“Located between the Old Town and New Business District, Lotte Hotel Hanoi connects and combines the rich history and the promising future of Hanoi,” TripAdvisor wrote.

The hotel is situated on the upper part of the “magnificent 65-floor building” and “proudly represents a new standard of international five-star hotels.”

“In each of the 318 luxurious rooms, you can enjoy the latest-generation facilities and amenities,” the platform added.

With 235 standard rooms and 83 suites, Lotte Hotel, the first five-star property of Lotte Group in the capital, serves up a “glamorous panoramic view of Hanoi”.

The hotel offers a selection of tasteful venues including trendy restaurants, classy bars and the first Michelin-starred dim sum house in Vietnam, to suit occasions like international conferences, business seminars, new product launching events, parties, weddings and family gatherings.

If there's a Vietnamese phrase to describe Capella Hanoi, it's “tinh te” (delicate), according to Travel + Leisure. “A 'tinh te' state of mind is a process of careful selection. Both nuances of “tinh te” are present in Capella Hanoi.”

This is the sixth hotel from the brand, and the first in Southeast Asia. It noted that the Hanoi outpost is an ideal choice for first-time visitors to the city, thanks to one of the most convenient locations of any high-end property in town.

Nestled on a peaceful boulevard near famous Hoan Kiem Lake, “the building was originally a turn-of-the-century opera house, and architect Bill Bensley used his meticulous eye to incorporate some of that early 20th-century atmosphere via decorative details: paintings of theater scenes adorn guest room walls, and opera-inspired antiques (vintage gowns, wooden shoe molds that performers once wore) can be found around the property,” the U.S. magazine wrote. A night's stay for a double room costs $236.

Last year, the 47-room hotel was one of best new accommodations in Asia-Pacific according to DestinAsian’s The Luxe List 2021.

The award-winning travel magazine wrote: “Guests are invited to join three daily complementary “rituals”: coffee in the morning, tea in the afternoon, and cocktails in the evening. This final ritual - the “Diva’s Entrée”- is especially entertaining: the hotel’s resident prima donna, who sings, dances, and banters with the guests, presents a rotation of signature cocktails inspired by the lives of legendary divas like Coco Chanel and Anna Held.”
