Da Lat, also called Vietnam's ‘Little Paris’, will host Da Lat Flower Festival 2022 from October 1 to December 31, instead of one week as previously.

The festival, in its ninth edition, is expected to deliver a special art performance on December 24 and another with firework displays on December 31 to greet the new year.

Xuan Huong Lake, one of the most popular destinations in the charming town, will be decked with colorful flowers. Five other miniatures with the theme of ‘Flowers and Architectural Heritage’ will be displayed around the lake until January 2, 2023, featuring some traditional architectural works and heritage.

Open spaces like Le Dai Hanh flower street, Ong Dao bridge, Ong Dao bridge fountain, Area C of Tran Quoc Toan park, Nguyen Van Cu street, Tran Hung Dao park, and the area close to Quan The Am pagoda will also be part of the significant festival.

The organizing committee encourages businesses, gardeners, flower villages, tourist sites, and residential areas to create various floral spaces so the entire town could be more brightly colored during the festive season.

A street festival will be held on December 31 with activities like flower parades, flash mobs, flower fashion shows, ao dai (Vietnamese traditional dress) shows, acoustic music, and street art performances.

A trade and investment promotion conference will also be part of the festival to promote Lam Dong province's products and specialties like flowers, vegetables, wine, tea, and silk.

Da Lat Flower Festival has been held every two years on eight occasions, attracting a huge number of tourists. Due to the pandemic, the ninth festival, planned for the end of 2021, was canceled.

Da Lat in Lam Dong province is the most charming town on any tour to Vietnam's Central Highlands. Thousands of flower species can be found in the town, making the flower festival one of the most significant events for holidaymakers.
