Disciplinary action proposed for Lam Dong province's chief inspector

The Central Inspection Commission has proposed the Politburo, the Party's premier decision-making body, to discipline Nguyen Ngoc Anh, chief inspector of Lam Dong province, for deterioration in morality and receiving bribes.

The Central Inspection Commission has proposed the Politburo, the Party's premier decision-making body, to discipline Nguyen Ngoc Anh, chief inspector of Lam Dong province, for deterioration in morality and receiving bribes.

The committee concluded that Anh had showed deterioration in political ideology, morality and lifestyle; accepted bribes; violated Party regulations and State laws; and breached regulations of the Party members' code of conduct and responsibility to set a good example.

The violations caused very serious consequences and bad public opinion, adversely affecting the reputation of Party organizations and the inspectorate sector, the conclusion read.

In March this year, the Ministry of Public Security's investigative agency and Lam Dong's police detained Nguyen Ngoc Anh for further investigation into allegedly receiving bribes.

The initial investigation found that he committed violations during inspections at an eco-resort and a tourism and urban complex project in Duc Trong district, the Central Highlands province of Lam Dong.
