Phu Quoc, Vietnam's largest island off the southern coast, is 120 km east of Rach Gia town and 45 km west of Ha Tien town.

Every day more than 30 high-speed ferries travel from the mainland to Phu Quoc, one of Vietnam's top tourist attractions.

During the holiday to celebrate Vietnam's National Day (September 2), the decision has left many tourists worried that their schedules will be affected. Heavy rain on Friday also caused many tourists to cancel sea and island tours.

In addition to the ferries, visitors can also access Phu Quoc by air, and flights are currently operating normally. According to data, 82 flights landed on Phu Quoc on Friday.

According to the Southern Hydrometeorological Center, typhoon Saola has affected coastal areas from Ca Mau to Kien Giang provinces with heavy rains and thunderstorms and waves reaching up to 3 meters
